It was in 1896 that the lots were purchased at the corner of Greenbay Road and Laurel Avenue, and the present Church edifice built. Changes and additions were made over the years with the major addition being the Christian Educational unit built in 1962.
In 1922, the church voted to be affiliated with the Evangelical Congregational Church. The denominational headquarters are located in Myerstown, Pennsylvania. A theological seminary and retirement home are at this location along with the administrative offices of the denomination.
The Western Conference of our denomination operates and maintains a beautiful summer camp on 30 acres of land along the Rock River in Dixon, IL. A camping program for children in grades four through High School is conducted every summer.
We consider our church evangelical in belief and doctrine, adhering to the fundamental beliefs of biblical Christianity. Our church is a member of the National Association of Evangelicals.
